Dorothea lance
Dorothea Lange was a photographer whose portraits of displaced farmers during the Great Depression. During the Great Depression, Dorothea Lange photographed the unemployed men who wandered the streets. Her photographs of migrant workers were often presented with captions featuring the words of the workers themselves.

Lewis Hine
Hine was born in Oshkosh Wisconsin on September 26 1874. after his father was killed in a accident, Hine began working and saving his money for college education. In 1904 hine became the staff photographer of the Russell sage Foundation ; he photographed life in the steel-making districts and people of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania,for the influential sociological study called the Pittsburgh survey.
Matthew Brady
Matthew Brady was born on may 18 1822 in warren,New York near lake Georeg. At the age of 16, Brady moved to Saratoga,New York, where he met portrait painter William Page, and became page's student. In 1839 the two traveled to Albany,New York and then to New York city where Brady continued to study painting with Page, and also with Page's former teacher.

Eaweard Muybridge
Muybridge was born on April 9 1830 in Surrey, England. At age 20 emigrated to america, first to New York as a book seller, and then to San Francisco. He returned to England in 1861 and took up professional photography, learning the wet plate collodion process and secured at least two British patents for his inventions. He went back to San Francisco in 1867, and in 1868 his large photographs of Yosemite Valley made him world famous .
